Plaintiff Files Injury Suit Against Medtronic

Lawsuits have been filed on behalf of patients who received Medtronic’s Infuse® Bone Graft for off-label uses and who claim they’ve suffered complications that have resulted in severe pain.

For instance, complaint English v. Medtronic, Inc., Case No. 9:11-cv-81054, was filed in September last year on behalf of a woman who claimed that the Infuse® Bone Graft caused her to experience chronic pain.

According to the suit, plaintiff Jennifer English was implanted with an Infuse® Bone Graft during a posterior-approach lumbar spine surgery. The Infuse® Bone Graft has not been approved for this use.

The Infuse® Bone Graft lawsuit alleges that the bone graft caused uncontrollable bone growth in English’s spine, which led to nerve damage and severe pain. The lawsuit also claims that English has undergone two surgeries to remove the excess bone, one of which was an emergency situation.

If you or someone you love is suffering from chronic pain following Infuse® Bone Graft surgery, you may be eligible to pursue damages by filing a lawsuit. To learn more, contact us today.
